In the Hebrew language, et is an Accusative particle, untranslatable into English. It is spelled alef-tav (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet).
Et is also the word for "meat" in Turkish.
Et can also be a past-tense form of "eat" (used similarly to "ate") as pronounced in some parts of eastern and southern USA.
