Jabberwockies
They are known for their intricate synchronization and precise dances, mime and kabuki-styled theatrics while wearing masks and gloves during most of their performances. The group name is derived from the Lewis Carroll poem Jabberwocky, while their self-named dance style, Beat Kune Do, is named after the Bruce Lee-created martial arts style Jeet Kune Do.
JabbaWockeeZ started out with appearances at local showcases and club events in San Diego and Los Angeles.
Their first televised appearance was during the second season of America's Got Talent, in which they auditioned in Dallas, Texas but were eliminated during the Las Vegas callbacks on July 10, 2007.
They were named the first winners of America's Best Dance Crew on March 27, 2008, which earned the crew $100,000 and a touring contract. Performed with Super Crew.
