Its core product offering includes RingCentral Office, RingCentral Mobile and RingCentral Internet Fax, with services provided in the US, Canada and the UK. RingCentral, headquartered in San Mateo, CA, is funded by Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures and DAG Ventures and was founded in 2003 by Vlad Shmunis.


Products
RingCentral Office
RingCentral Office is a comprehensive Voice over Internet Protocol phone service for small businesses and similar offices.

This allows customers to connect teams in different locations.
RingCentral Mobile
RingCentral Mobile provides customers with a single local or toll free number that connects their existing phone lines as virtual extensions. Users can also receive calls, transmit faxes and listen to voicemail online through their RingCentral account.
RingCentral Fax
RingCentral Fax is an internet fax product that gives users the ability to send and receive faxes through the Internet, replacing the fax machine.

Aside from the ability to transmit documents online, users can also sign and edit their faxes digitally, eliminating the need to print and scan faxes. Users also receive a text and an email message every time a new fax arrives.
RingCentral Digital Lines
In its basic setup, RingCentral does not provide the user with the ability to make direct outgoing calls.However for an extra monthly fee, a user can add digital lines from RingCentral, and make outgoing calls on those lines by using a softphone or a voip phone. RingCentral provides softphones at no extra cost, and sells and supports two Linksys brand voip phones.
Features
Toll Free or Local Number
RingCentral provides clients with their own local or toll free number of their choice.

For large companies, they can get multiple numbers which connect to different groups of virtual extensions. RingCentral also works with customers to establish a vanity number if that is what they are looking for.
Call Routing and Answering Rules
RingCentral has an online dashboard called the Call Controller.

Rules can be set and modified depending on different times of day, types of callers, number dialed and even for specific callers. Users can also answer or reject calls straight through the Call Controller.
FollowMe & FindMe
FollowMe and FindMe work in conjunction with the Call Controller.FollowMe, on the other hand, directs callers to a single number set by the user. FindMe is directs a caller to a succession of phone numbers until their call is answered.

If all the numbers are inaccessible, the caller will finally be directed voicemail.
Virtual extensions
Users can connect any phone line to RingCentral as virtual extensions. This way, business calls can be received anywhere outside the office.
Voicemail
RingCentral offers a voicemail product that gives users new functionality by strengthening common voicemail features and even adding more.

Voicemails are received through email in .wav formats so they can be downloaded and stored in the computer. RingCentral also sends a text and an email message for every new voicemail that arrives so users can immediately check their mailbox and return important calls.
Call Screening
RingCentral has an advanced call screening with an auto-attendant that automatically identifies the caller and sends the name and the number to the user.Users can type a quick reply that the auto-attendant translates to audio and reads to the caller.
Music and Messages on Hold
RingCentral subscribers can choose to play music and messages to callers on the line. Professionally recorded messages and music help hold the attention of callers, and also serves as a way to promote a company’s products or services.
Click-to-Call
Click-to-Call is a feature that lets users place a link on a website which can be clicked to instantly connect to a RingCentral number.

In the same way, users can dial any number using their RingCentral number by simply clicking on a number.
RingCentral Mobile
RingCentral Mobile is an iPhone application that allows a RingCentral number to be used with a customer's personal iPhone. This gives the iPhone more functionality, turning it into a mobile office.

Aside from business calls, RingCentral Mobile can also be used to manage contacts, faxes and voicemail messages.
Voicemail Transcription
RingCentral's website indicates that voicemail to text transcription is not currently offered by RingCentral, but will be in the future. However, a RingCentral user can use a third party transcription service such as PhoneTag.
