XO operates a nationwide OC-192 Tier 1 network and owns significant fiber optic network assets, including an 18,000 route-mile inter-city network and more than 9,000 route-miles within 40 major metropolitan markets. XO currently carries more than 15 billion minutes of Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic across its network each year.

Concentric
In June, 2004, XO Communications, Inc. re-launched the Concentric name as a web hosting and email service for small and medium-sized businesses.
Barbara Branaman was appointed Vice President and General Manager of Concentric .
A co-marketing agreement was signed in July, 2004, with PayPal, an eBay Company, to incorporate capabilities provided by PayPal into the Concentric Web Builder tool, enabling customers of XO Web Hosting and Concentric hosting services to send and receive payments online. Concentric released its Perimeter Email Protection application in April, 2007, a suite of tools to filter and authenticate incoming email before it reaches the customer's email infrastructure.
Hosted Microsoft Exchange was launched in June, 2008, as an additional email option or as a stand-alone product.
