Yang Yilin
In the 2008 Olympics, she took the Bronze medal in the Individual All-Around competition with a score of 62.650 and the Gold medal, along with her team, in the Team All-Around competition. At the 2007 World Championships, she won a silver medal with her team and a bronze on the uneven bars.
In 2007, she also won the all-around at the Intercity Games, a national multi-sport event in China. In the spring of 2008, she led the Guangdong team to gold at China's National Championships and claimed individual medals in the All-Around, uneven bars, and floor exercise.
Along with Olympic teammates He Kexin and Jiang Yuyuan, there has been doubt cast on whether Yang Yilin is old enough to be eligible to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where the minimum age is 16. While official records record her birth as 1992, according to 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 registration lists previously posted on the General Administration of Sport of China's website she was born on August 26, 1993, which would have made her too young to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics.
